Protein Rich Rice

   

Ingredients

 

Rice – ¼ bowl ( Rice bowl supplied with the steamer )

Whole Lentils – ¼ bowl ( Rice bowl supplied with the steamer )

Fresh coriander leaves – 1 handful

Fresh mint leaves – 5-6 leaves

Spices as per the taste

 

Preparation

1. Wash the rice and lentils and leave them for 30-40 min. to soak in water.

2. Add spices, chopped coriander and mint leaves and ketchup and mix it all together.

3. Fill the bowl with water, 1.5 times of the quantity of rice

4. Steam for 1 hour in the “Rice Bowl”.

 

Serving

Transfer the contents to the dish, add oil and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

 

Note

Combination of rice and lentils is stronger in protein than meat.
