Cooked Beans

  

Ingredients

Beans of your choice – ½ bowl ( Rice bowl supplied with the steamer )

Fresh coriander leaves – 1 handful

Fresh mint leaves – 5-6 leaves

Spices as per the taste

Preparation

1. Wash the beans and leave them to soak in water for 10-12 hours.

2. Add spices, chopped coriander and mint leaves and ketchup and mix it all together.

3. Fill the bowl with water, 1.5 times of the quantity of beans.

4. Steam for 1-3 hour in the “Rice Bowl”, depending on the type of beans used. ( Keep checking every 30-40 min. if not sure about the time required )

 

Serving

Transfer the contents to the dish, add oil and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Note

 

All kind of beans can be cooked in the steamer, just that some of them need as long as 3 hours to get cooked.

Soaking the beans in water for 10-12 hours make them alive and 300 times stronger.
